Vesca help
From your video
to a separate copy.
This guide describes the current app. Vesca is preparing for its public App Store release.
1. Choose your video
Choose Select Videos and select the videos to add. Vesca prepares its own working copy. If Photos access is limited, the Photos browser shows only the allowed scope; the system picker lets you choose another video.
Smart Select currently searches videos you have added to Vesca. Adjust its file-size and resolution filters, review the matches and explicitly add your chosen videos to the selection.
2. Review settings
Open Review to check the source and compression settings. Changing the default preset affects future reviews. A saved preset loads a copy of its settings; existing queued videos keep their captured settings.
With Pro, adjust resolution, frame rate and bitrate. For an advanced watermark, choose Change beside Watermark, edit text or import a still PNG, adjust its style and placement, then choose Apply. Create a new encoded preview to check the result.
3. Create a sample preview
Choose a 5- or 10-second sample and Create Preview. The sample uses your actual encoding settings. Change the start point to check another part of the source. If the source or settings change, the old preview becomes Out of Date; generate it again before relying on its estimate.
Sample size estimates are not guarantees. A full output may be the same size or larger than the original.
4. Start the queue
Adding a video to Queue does not start processing. Choose Start Queue when ready. Keep Vesca open unless the app explicitly says that a supported background operation is available. After an interruption, return to Queue and follow the recovery or retry action shown.
5. Save or share the result
Open a completed result and choose Save to Photos, then allow adding to Photos if prompted. If the copy is larger, Vesca asks before saving. If Photos does not confirm a save, check Photos before retrying; the local result remains available for recovery.
The share sheet lets you send a result to a destination of your choice. Encoding and saving preserve the original. Delete Original is a separate action requiring confirmation; keep your original until you have checked the saved copy.
iCloud sources
A selected video stored in iCloud Photos may need to download before it can be read. Allow time and use a reliable connection. If import fails, keep the original and retry once the selected video is available on the device.
Storage and unsupported videos
Keep enough free device space for the working source, output and save copy. Settings shows recorded app media storage and offers Preview Storage cleanup for unused previews. This cleanup preserves source videos, saved results and previews still in use.
For an unsupported or changed source, follow the app's explanation and reselect the original when appropriate. Some HDR formats, including Dolby Vision, and complex source timelines are unsupported. Vesca does not promise a fixed compression ratio, speed or unchanged quality.
Pro availability
The approved launch plan is Monthly US$2.99, Yearly US$14.99 and Lifetime US$29.99. Only Yearly has a planned 7-day free trial for Apple-eligible subscribers. Monthly and Yearly renew automatically; Lifetime is a one-time purchase with no renewal or trial. These are planned US offers, not a claim of live configuration. Apple shows the actual localized price, currency and eligibility before purchase. Free output includes the VESCA watermark. Preview and comparison are available without Pro. Restore Purchases checks eligible purchases for your App Store account.
Purchases, trial and restore
To restore, use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account used for your eligible purchase. A pending or unverified purchase does not unlock Pro. If access is missing, check your purchase status and contact support; never send your Apple password or payment details.
To manage or cancel a subscription, open iPhone or iPad Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. For a free trial, Apple advises cancelling at least 24 hours before it ends if you do not want to renew. See Apple’s cancellation guide and refund request guide. Refund eligibility is decided through Apple; support cannot promise a refund.
